Tracey Rubenstein, L.C.S.W.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Tracey Rubenstein is a specialist in trauma resolution. She has worked with victims of violence and survivors of trauma for more than 20 years.

Prior to moving to Florida in 2008, Mrs. Rubenstein was the Coordinator of the YWCA Rape Crisis Program in New Orleans, Louisiana - and was a leader in rebuilding social services in the greater New Orleans community after Hurricane Katrina. She also served as a Victim Services Counselor for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Mrs. Rubenstein takes a broad view of trauma. She recognizes that many events can be experienced as trauma and that trauma reactions can occur minutes, days, weeks or even years after the initial harm. Her approach to trauma resolution begins with creating a physically and emotionally safe space for clients to examine their thoughts and feelings regarding the traumatic experience. Once safety is comfortably established, clients are invited to proceed at their own pace. Mrs. Rubenstein strives to help clients discover their strength, wisdom and self-confidence. By co-creating a series of goals, client and therapist work together to achieve trauma resolution, thereby freeing the client to live a peaceful and happier life.

Mrs. Rubenstein received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College and her Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2001.
