I am a responsible 16 year old and I think my mom needs to back off and stay out of my business and she won't. She goes in my room, looks through my emails and is always in my business. Please tell me how to get her to stop.

Wow! I absolutely love that you have written to share some of the challenges you are having with your mom...So thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like it is time for you and your mom to have a discussion about AGREEMENTS. During this discussion you want to set some clear rules about what is okay in your relationship and what is not- ahead of time. Talk about what you are committed to in your relationship- things like trust and respect and open up to one another about how you feel about these things.
